Cherkizovo Group’s products under the Petelinka, Pava-Pava and Cherkizovo Premium brands came first in three categories at the annual Product of the Year awards.

The accolades were presented at the 22nd Product of the Year 2020 Official Ceremony in Moscow. Cherkizovo Group, a regular at the event, won in three categories this year. Petelinka received the Eco-friendly Meat Product award in the Chicken Meat category for the second year running. The Pava-Pava brand repeated last year’s achievement by picking up best Healthy Food product in the Turkey Meat category. The Cherkizovo Premium brand’s bacon celebrated a debut win in the Meat Product category.

Petelinka is Russia’s best known and most popular chilled poultry brand, the market leader by sales in the Moscow region and St Petersburg. Since late last year, Petelinka products have been available in Russia’s Siberian Federal District. The brand’s offering includes over 40 natural and healthy ready-to-cook products that are made from 100% chicken fillet and natural spices.

The Pava-Pava brand is produced by Tambov Turkey, an equal-stake joint venture between Cherkizovo Group and Grupo Fuertes (Spain) and the second largest turkey meat producer in Russia. The meat used to make Pava-Pava products comes from a special extra lean turkey breed.

Cherkizovo is one of Russia’s leading meat product brands. Items under this brand are manufactured at Cherkizovsky Meat Processing Plant, which has been operating in Moscow since 1974, and its branches across Russia. The brand’s range includes around 300 products in the sausage and chilled meat categories.

Petelinka and Pava-Pava have a track record of winning in other Product of the Year categories, with Petelinka receiving accolades for Poultry Cutlets (2019) and Chicken Meat (2018) and Pava-Pava taking the Eco-friendly Meat Product award (2018).
